More about me…
Who am I?
Hi! My name is Nicole Anderson. I’m a passionate and driven person who loves learning a little bit about a lot of different things. I find myself spending hours researching various topics from hormone health, pregnancy, and motherhood to nutrition, theology, and literature just to name a few.
I’m definitely an introvert (INFJ to be exact) but I love deep conversations that have passion and substance. Small talk will be the death of me. Creative discussions or even friendly discourse with opposing views fills me with so much life and energy. Give me a topic I’m passionate about and I could talk for hours.
Traveling has also become one of my favorite hobbies! I studied abroad in Florence, Italy while in college; I took courses in documentary film making and travel writing. I also explored London and Paris recently, which was incredibly inspiring and something I had been dying to check off my bucket list. European museums have me in a chokehold. I’ve also visited New York a few times and spent two full days mesmerized by The Met!
I find art and literature so creatively inspiring because they are universal. Their longevity connects centuries, cultures, and threads those interpersonal emotional ties in a beautifully intricate way. In my heart, I am a writer and it’s the one art form I always come back to. For me, writing is like breathing; it helps me process emotions, make sense of life circumstances, and validate specific experiences by holding those lessons in a time capsule. While I love writing fiction and non-fiction, I’m currently working on a novel. I once saw a quote that said, “We write down made-up stories to tell the truths we wish we could say out loud.” As someone who has a love-hate relationship with vulnerability, hiding behind characters has been therapeutic and freeing.
On a lighter note, I love warm summer days spent on a sandy beach in California with sun-kissed skin and salty hair. However, my heart will forever be promised to fall. I’m a sucker for a crisp autumnal morning and a beautiful mountain view. I find nature so calming and it always reminds me what’s truly important in life: empathy, gratitude, human connection, and love. “You are what you love,” after all.
